Newspaper editor to run for Dare commissioner
(Manteo, N.C.) Sandy Semans, managing editor of the Outer Banks Sentinel, has announced she will begin a petition drive in an effort to appear on the November ballot as a candidate for Dare County Commissioner. According to a press release issued Tuesday, the Stumpy Point resident said she will circulate petitions to be a candidate from District 1, which includes the mainland and Roanoke Island.
